The Woodley Room. This is the main auditorium. It seats
up to 120 when the seats are laid out in theatre style. At one end is
a raised stage, with a raked floor.
The Hall has a polished hardwood
sprung floor, ideal for dancing, gymnastics, badminton and other indoor
activities.
The Hall has a supply of stacking chairs and modern folding
tables, so the Woodley Room can also be used for large wedding receptions,
parties and similar functions.
The stage lighting is the property of the
NOMADS theatre group, and use of it would only be by prior arrangement with
them. Electrical sockets are available for visiting groups to connect their own
lighting boards and other equipment.
The Crampmoor Room. This is the larger of the
two meeting Rooms. It is carpeted and has chairs and tables available. The
maximum capacity is approximately 50, but this may depend on the room layout and
type of function.
A large serving hatch leads directly into the Hall
kitchen. This room can be used in conjunction with the main hall as a servery
for a large function.
The Ganger Room. A third smaller room,
the Ganger Room has recently been refurbished. It is also available for small meetings and as an additional room
if required for use in conjunction with the main hall. It has its own entrance, WC and kitchenette facilities for coffee/tea and light refreshments making. It makes an ideal committee room.
The
Kitchen. There is also a fitted kitchen, with serving hatch to the
Crampmoor Room. The kitchen has a double sink and drainers, a domestic-size
electric cooker and 'fridge and a microwave. A 10 litre
electric hot water urn is kept in the kitchen and may be used by
hirers. Crockery etc is available for hire.
The kitchen must be
shared by Hall users using the Hall at the same time. To obtain exclusive use of
the kitchen for larger functions, hirers are recommended to take the All Rooms
hire package (see the Hall Hire Rates page)
Rooms are available for hire for community events, private functions and parties, and appropriate commercial hire.
