News

We have now completed renovation of the smaller of the two side rooms, the Ganger Room, as part of our ongoing efforts to improve and expand facilties at the Woodley Village Hall. Following the disastrous flooding of the room last winter when a pipe in the ceiling froze and then burst, the ceiling has been reinstated, new flooring laid and the room and adjoining WC have been fully redecorated. In addition we have also installed a combined sink/fridge/ hotplate kitchenette unit so users can serve coffee, tea and light refreshments without recourse to the main kitchen. The room can be accessed through the main Hall and used in conjunction with other rooms or it has its own separate entrance door (wheelchair accessible), so can also be used separately even if other events are in progress. In addition new tables and chairs have been provided, and it is now an ideal small committee/meeting room.

The next stage, when funds allow, will be the enlargement and refurbishment of the Crampmoor Room. This has been made possible by improvements in the understage area, making additional storage available.
